Artemis 18k Yellow Gold Twisted Ring

This ring is part of my Optical Illusion Collection, designed to blend true three-dimensional volume with the art of illusion. Take a closer look at the band, and you'll notice that the right side is, in fact, an illusion. Entirely handcrafted, this piece was exceptionally intricate and challenging to create.

To bring this design to life, I employed an advanced goldsmithing technique called Anticlastic Raising. Using precise hammer strokes, I forged and shaped a hollow triangular form that transitions seamlessly from a fully three-dimensional side to a flat surface. The ring begins with a three-dimensional triangular pyramid, flowing into a hollow triangular form that gradually flattens as it wraps around the finger. The flat side is adorned with a triangular enamel detail that cleverly mimics the three-dimensional side, completing the illusion.
