Black onyx cabochon in organic sterling silver ring, handmade in Toronto

Dark, smooth and entirely sure of itself, this black onyx ring is a single natural oval cabochon held in organic sterling silver (925). Roozbeh hand fabricates each one at the Rooz Jewellery studio in Toronto, working the metal into uneven, rock-like edges that frame the stone like a pool of night water. Onyx is a banded form of chalcedony, sits around 6.5 to 7 on the Mohs scale, and is traditionally associated with strength and grounding; it is often listed as an alternative stone for August. There are no accent stones here, only the onyx and the silver. Polish it with a soft cloth and avoid hard knocks. Each ring comes out slightly different from the last, and on screen the black may read a little softer or deeper than in person. Size 7 is available now; message Roozbeh for any other size.
