Lapis lazuli in organic sterling silver ring, handmade night-blue cabochon
Lapis lazuli in organic sterling silver ring, handmade night-blue cabochon
Lapis lazuli is a deep, midnight blue flecked with gold-toned pyrite, and prized in Persian art for thousands of years. This ring features a single natural lapis cabochon in organic sterling silver (925), hand-fabricated by Roozbeh, who draws on his Persian heritage, at Rooz Jewellery in Toronto. The stone is sometimes listed as a December birthstone and is traditionally linked to truth and insight. Lapis is a rock made of several minerals and sits around 5 to 6 on the Mohs scale, so keep it clear of impact, water and chemicals and polish it with a soft, dry cloth. No diamonds here; the stone is the entire composition, and every fleck of gold is its own. As each ring is made individually, no two are alike, and colours on screen may differ from the real stone. Size 7 is available, with other sizes arranged through Roozbeh.
