Moonstone oval cabochon in organic sterling silver ring

Moonstone seems to hold a small, drifting light inside it, and this ring is made to show it off. A single natural oval moonstone cabochon is set in organic sterling silver (925) and hand fabricated by Roozbeh in Toronto for Rooz Jewellery. Moonstone is an alternative June birthstone, and its soft, glowing sheen is known as adularescence, a shimmer that moves as your hand does. Traditionally it is linked with new beginnings and intuition. It measures roughly 6 to 6.5 on the Mohs scale and can chip if struck, so wear it with care and clean it with a soft cloth only. There are no diamonds here, just stone and silver, and the silver edges are left deliberately uneven. Every ring is slightly different, and the stone's glow may photograph differently from real life.
