Ruby is the July birthstone and a long-standing symbol of passion and courage, and its saturated red looks especially rich against warm gold. The metal is shaped by hand into soft, irregular contours, so the setting seems to have formed around the stone over time. Ruby is a form of corundum and ranks 9 on the Mohs scale, which makes it very durable for daily wear; mild soap, warm water and a soft brush are all it needs. This is a single-stone ring without diamond accents. Each ring is one of a kind, and the red in photos can read a little differently from the real stone.
